LSU basketball drops fifth straight game, falling to Georgia after hot shooting start
LSU basketball opened its game against Georgia by scorching the nets. The Tigers drained nine first-half 3-pointers in Athens, Georgia, exceeding its high of eight in Southeastern Conference play. But their prowess from deep range didn’t keep them from losing 81-62 to Georgia at Stegeman Coliseum on Wednesday.
Freshman Asa Newell scored 17 points, Blue Cain had 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists and Georgia beat LSU 81-62.
