The International Criminal Court has called on member states to stand up against sanctions imposed by the U.S. president.

A majority of member states, including the UK, Germany and France, said the court was "vital" for international justice.

U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court could jeopardize trials and investigations at the world's only permanent global tribunal for war crimes and genocide.
