Canon has announced a 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor with a mindboggling 410 million pixels, the world's highest pixel count.
The size of a 35mm film frame is 36 x 24mm. In high-end digital cameras, the sensor may be the same size ("full-frame"); however, most digital camera sensors are smaller (see table below).
Canon has unveiled a new 410-megapixel camera sensor, which the company says is the largest number of pixels achieved in a 35mm sensor.
