U.S. stock market futures rose in early action Thursday, possibly setting up for a third day of gains with major indexes within touching distances of record highs. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 66 points, or 0.2%, to 45070. S&P 500 futures gained 8 points, or 0.1%, to 6094. Nasdaq-100 futures increased 16 points, or 0.1%, to 21779.

Small caps outperformed on the upside, but the Nasdaq cut losses as Google stock, Mueller Water and Fiserv triggered new entry points.
