CRUM, W.Va. — Eighteen cars of a Norfolk Southern train jumped the tracks Friday night in Wayne County near the community of Crum A Norfolk Southern spokesperson said it was caused by a rockslide.

Jan. 28 (UPI) --The government of East Palestine, Ohio, reached a settlement with rail operator Norfolk Southern over the 2023 train derailment that released toxic chemicals into the air.

"The settlement provides the Village with $22 million from Norfolk Southern to be used for priorities identified by the Village in connection with the train derailment," the a statement said.
