The City of Ypsilanti is launching its search for a new police chief. Kirk Moore stepped down as Chief of Police last month.

The Ypsilanti Police Department has faced more vacancies since Moore took over in 2023. He previously said he is working to change the organization, and some are adverse or resistant to that change.
