The Los Angeles Lakers finally got their center with less than 24 hours to go until Thursday's NBA trade deadline. ESPN's Shams Charania reported

Williams is a legit starting center in the NBA; he's not a perfect player and his offensive game is still developing, but he's a reliable lob threat, a real deterrant in the paint and is still improving in pretty much all facets.

The Los Angeles Lakers are acquiring center Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets in a trade for rookie Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish and draft considerations, a person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press.
