Acting Administrator Cameron Hamilton amplified false charges that FEMA spent disaster aid on migrants and blocked help to North Carolina.

Georgia survivors of Hurricane Helene have until Friday to apply for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The mayor said the amount of debris that Hurricane Helene deposited in the lake is unprecedented. The Town of Lake Lure is working with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to remove this debris.
