Two new fires ignited in San Diego County on Tuesday, as firefighters continue fighting blazes further north in Los Angeles.

The Border 2 Fire burning at Otay Mountain near San Diego is yet another blaze in fire-weary Southern California. See the fire map.

As of Friday afternoon, the Border fire was 4,250 acres in size and 10 percent contained, but no structures were threatened.

Nine wildfires are currently burning across Southern California as of Friday morning, five of which ignited yesterday.

"The fire is growing with a moderate rate of spread and structures are threatened," Cal Fire said as it issued evacuation orders.
