The NFL Pro Bowl is an all-star game that serves as the league's annual all-star game. NFL could organize a spaghetti eating contest between wide receivers and it’d still get alot of eyeballs But once players literally didn’t tackle in the 2021 Pro Bowl, it was over. I think the NFL didn’t like the optics of that, so they changed to actual flag football lol

2021年3月25日 · Also noteworthy: if 55% of players picked 1-10 make a Pro-Bowl, that means 45% of players picked 1-10 DON’T ever make a Pro-Bowl. That’s nearly half. It’s certainly torturous after the fact to take a sucky player with a high pick, then look at players that went afterwards who go on to be good.

2022年12月31日 · Ultimately this is where the entire NFL is heading. They use the pro bowl to test new ideas so if flag football goes well you’ll see it at least for the quarterbacks within the next 5 years. Especially with all of the injuries and concussions that have happened this year.

The Pro Bowl plays would mostly be the generic ones every NFL team runs so the players don't have to take long to learn them. There's not much incentive for game-planning either, because the players don't care, and the winning team doesn't gain anything out of it.

Flag football is safer. And the small challenges in the Pro Bowl are cool that show things like strength and conditioning that players are in. Like the insane athletic ability they have. I just hope that the NFL does a donation type thing. Where there are certain markers that a player can get and the NFL will donate to a charity.

All-pro is more prestigious as it is voted on by more informed writers that cover football and there is less spots than the pro bowl. The pro bowl is voted on 1/3 each by fans, coaches, and media. The pro bowl has a team for the afc and nfc which makes it much less exclusive.
