2022年7月12日 · - Avoid shooting on anything wider than a 24mm lens unless you are specifically going for an extreme wide angle art shot as a one-off. Anything wider than 24mm will begin to distort and fundamentally change the look of the car. - Try shooting the car with a 50mm or tighter lens as this will provide good frame compression and apply a cinematic look.

2022年12月27日 · IMO I’d work on composition and making sure whatever is in your background / foreground doesn’t detract from the car itself. That’s where I’d begin. Learn about better composition and what kinds of things add to your photo versus take away from it. Here, I find my eyes wandering quite a bit even though I know the car is the main subject.

Car photography is a passion of mine. I tend to try and focus on details while still keeping enough of the car in frame. These were all shot on a Nikon D3500 or a D500, and using an 18-200mm Nikon or a 120-400mm Sigma lens. There is a little sharpening and tidying up, but these allre almost straight out of camera.

2023年11月11日 · You could also tweak the saturation and color in the car mask to be less blue and be warmer. I realized that this was with the 70-200 f2.8. Try your next shoot with a wide angle lens. It will really emphasize the car. The 70-200 is an amazing lens but I think for these sort of shots, you don't need the reach IMHO. Lol I miss car photography now

In preparation of my first real car photoshoot I was checking out a bunch of car shots from various instagram accounts.

2023年10月2日 · Dealership car photography generally does not pay well. I’ve known a few to do it and it ends up being something crazy like minimum wage +$6 per car. Not worth it. Take your camera and go find something else to do with it.

For car photography depending on your budget. I would stay from the GM zooms at the moment because it’s better to use the money to kit yourself out. Tamron’s 28-75 G2 is a great option if you’re mainly shoot exteriors. For the interior of the car, consider pairing the Tamron 28-75 with a Samyang 14mm AF if your budget is low.
